Opened in 2000, the Residenza Paolo VI Hotel is housed on the upper floors of a renovated monastery that stands in St. Peter's Square. Though small, the lobby respects the elegance of the property, being pleasantly appointed with cream toned décor and Louis XIV furniture. The 28 medium sized guestrooms are also elegantly appointed, though their style of décor varies. Some have green bedspreads well coordinated with the curtains, while others are cream coloured with gold fittings. All the rooms are also enriched by precious carpets and pictures. The hotel offers a rich Continental breakfast every morning in the bright, welcoming "Bernini" room, which is located on the top floor with large windows overlooking the street.
